PRAYER

As we all know prayer is a communication between a living mortal and God, That's the simplest and the general definition so far now. Although There are over thousands of different definition  about prayer but all still has the same meaning, which is "communication between you and God".

I'll like to say this that, Prayer is our spiritual food that our spiritual body needs the most, without prayer your spiritual body will certainly succumb in living a spiritual life which will weaken your defence against the agents of darkness that never seize seeking for a person to devour for once.

Just like we feed our physical body with three square meals everyday that is how we should feed our spiritual body too, a man that has not eaten for a whole day will be very weak and exhausted and that such man can not stand against a physical attack. Then imagine your spiritual body.

When last did you pray?
When last did you go to church?
When last did you even join a group prayer?

If it has been last two years,  last five months, or it has been for so long that you can not even recall. Then think again is your spiritual body still living or dead ?
Remember, what matters most is the spirit not the flesh. The spirit never dies but the flesh do, that is why Jesus Christ made us to know that God has the power to destroy the  body and the spirit alike, why then must we fear the menace of men?

The spirit merely has no limit, so speaking the spirit lives infinitely compared to the flesh that has a limited, "I have a phone and obviously speaking all phones come with its battery respectively, if I fail to charge the phone  after using it, the battery will eventually die, but does it ends there?  No, I will charge the phone and it will regain its formal state before it died, 😕 *I know you might not really understand this little parable of mine 😂* but here's the point,  the spirit will die temporary but then it's up to you to revive it, surely you will have to charge your phone right? You can't just leave it dead you know, understand what I mean?  your spiritual body can be awaken by prayer of course I mean why not?

Cultivate the habit of prayer in your life never allow prayer to be a work for you, and prayer has to be said regardless of your mood that particular day. What I mean is some people pray when they are in good mood or they felt like praying at  that particular time, but I tell you the one we worship is not a man that you can fool but rather a GREAT GOD who sees not of a physical appearance but rather the heart.

Prayer is a communication between you and God, so by doing communicate with God, your heavenly father. A communication that does not prompt you in to requesting, asking. Just communication like a child and his father. Do not always be the type of person that always ask in every prayer but be the type that always praise him for his wonders, blessings and graces upon your life. Be grateful for the life you have, because:

"EACH DAY YOU WITNESS ARE GIFTS THAT NOT ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH ARE ABLE TO RECEIVE" ~ West

So be thankful, do not always pray when you are in need of something or you are in trouble, but devote yourself in prayer each day. Alright?  ðŸ˜Š

WHAT ARE WE TO REQUEST IN PRAYER?

God told Solomon to ask of anything at all he will give it to him. Solomon only asked for wisdom not for his own interest but to use it to rule God's own people, now look at that scene, with that you can know that Solomon is not selfish person. God was amazed at his request because he did not ask for riches, he did not ask for the death of all his enemies but rather he asked for wisdom.

God gave him wisdom and even added the ones Solomon did not ask for.
So our prayer requests must not always be focused on the things that will satisfy our flesh but rather things that will push us closer to God and of course for others too, your prayer must not be a selfish type.

What are these things we can request when we pray?
I will give you only one which is Love.
You need love to carry out your work as a Christian (Christ follower)
Read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 1-13.
Remember that the God we serve is a spirit so we must worship him in spirit and in truth.
